AI Evaluates Faker as the Candidate to Win LCK Awards 2024
Despite much debate surrounding the individual categories assessing the entire season of League of Legends players, Faker is likely to be the one who takes home the victory. Previously, he was honored at the spontaneous awards given by top casters worldwide, and subsequently, The Game Awards 2024 also marked T1 and Faker’s dominance in the Esports categories.

According to artificial intelligence (AI) assessments, Faker is also likely to take home the title of Player of the Year at the LCK Awards 2024, which will take place on the evening of December 29 (Vietnam time). The argument presented by the AI is based on his successful defense of the World Championship title, and Faker was the FMVP of the finals against Bilibili Gaming.
Furthermore, compared to Faker, the other three candidates will almost certainly spark controversy. Chovy has said goodbye to major titles since MSI 2024. Meanwhile, Peanut’s performance this season is limited to just one LCK Summer Championship, and he and Hanwha Life Esports even “disappeared” from the Quarterfinals of the World Championship thereafter.

As for Oner, his influence is evident, but it is hard to compare with his senior teammate. If a choice must be made, Oner would likely only rank behind Faker.
Will Faker and T1 Dominate the LCK Awards 2024?
Aside from Faker’s position for the Player of the Year (and perhaps also the Mid Laner of the Year), the other positions will likely spark more debate, but most will probably belong to T1.
In the Top Lane and Jungle positions, the competition will be fierce. Both Kiin, Zeus, and Doran have had shining moments and helped their teams secure titles. In the Jungle position, with both Peanut and Oner present, it’s clear that the “Best Jungler of the Year” must belong to one of these two.

The next battle will be for the Marksman of the Year, which may simply boil down to a competition between Gumayusi and Viper, as Peyz has not truly stood out even in Gen.G’s achievements. As for Support of the Year, the competition is simpler as Keria shows how superior he is compared to the two veteran opponents, Lehends and Delight.

And if nothing changes, it wouldn’t be surprising if T1 dominates nearly all categories at the LCK Awards 2024, after a year of ups and downs but a fairly successful summary for the World Championship 2024 champions.
