Gumayusi’s anti-fans become increasingly aggressive, dragging Faker into the fray
On the anniversary of Faker’s 1000th match in the LCK, this is perhaps the first time a milestone of the “Demon King” has been overshadowed by the drama surrounding T1’s roster, specifically Gumayusi – Smash. In fact, the notorious anti-fan group of Gumayusi (T1Gal) sent out a total of 9 protest trucks to various headquarters of SK and T1. However, a recent move truly shows just how unruly this anti-fan group has become.

Specifically, this group released a 7-page donation statement, listing all the names of those who donated to fund the protest trucks against T1 and Gumayusi. Notably, many of these accounts are linked to Faker. Previously, there had been plenty of information suggesting that the anti-fan group of Gumayusi primarily consists of Faker fans who do not want the 2002-born ADC to “inherit” Faker’s visual position.

This can be seen as a challenge to T1. While it’s normal for anti-fans to attack players or teams, these individuals usually conceal their identities to avoid potential legal action from the teams. However, by publicly releasing the donation statement, these anti-fans are extremely confident that T1 will not take any action against them.

The incident involving Gumayusi can be described as unprecedented
In the history of professional League of Legends, there have been many players who have faced criticism or even outright hatred. From the LPL, LCK to smaller regions, this has been a common theme. However, there has perhaps never been a player so openly hated while their team “does nothing at all” like Gumayusi.

It can be said that the year 2025 has started in the worst possible way for the 2002-born player. And surely in this story, T1 must bear full responsibility. They allow players to become victims of their decisions, yet when needed, the upper management of the team turns into mere shadows. T1 is so indifferent that it seems like Gumayusi is not one of their own, while anti-fans are demonstrating their influence even better than the team itself.
