Recently, several news outlets in South Korea reported that many anti-fans have started targeting Faker, especially after the MSI 2022. According to some netizens and South Korean media, these attacks have increased since Faker spoke out about game sabotage in Korean ranked matches. Following the “ping 35” incident and T1’s failure at MSI 2022, these anti-fans escalated their criticisms aimed at T1’s Mid Laner.

In fact, as reported by some South Korean media, certain anti-fans even created a dedicated section on a popular forum in South Korea with negative content criticizing Faker. T1 had to act immediately, and the team’s legal department stated that they would sue the anti-fans attacking their player. This incident occurred just before the LCK Summer 2022, and many fans were concerned that Faker would be adversely affected by the ongoing drama.

Recently, on his streaming channel, the “King of Rumors” Doinb provided the latest information about the anti-fans targeting Faker. He stated that if T1’s legal team gets involved and the case goes to court, it could be quite serious.
Doinb shared: “This means that if T1 sues these individuals in South Korea and they are found guilty, they will have to pay a fine of at least 1 million won (about over 17 million VND). We still need to see how severe these criticisms are (according to the authorities’ assessment); if they are too severe, the fine could go up to 5 million won (about over 90 million VND). Moreover, if Faker does not forgive or T1 does not overlook it, and the record has blemishes, it could also affect their future job opportunities.”

However, this is just Doinb’s disclosure. As for the anti-fans, their fate relies on T1’s legal department and the relevant authorities. Nonetheless, this is indeed a necessary action to warn against any behavior aimed at attacking or negatively affecting the honor and dignity of the players.
