In the history of League of Legends (LoL) in Vietnam specifically and esports in the S-shaped country generally, negative behaviors during competitions by players are no longer a novelty. In fact, there have been incidents that have caught the attention of international media, making the Vietnamese esports scene a hot topic in foreign forums. However, what is happening at VCS Hoàng Hôn 2023 is truly causing even experts to scratch their heads.

According to reports, no one knows what is really happening except for those directly involved, namely the SBTC Esports team and the individuals or groups related to it. SE has had its matches postponed continuously without any reason or definite timeline. Notably, individuals who have previously related to SE have also expressed their opinions about the current situation. All seem to imply that there are indeed negative issues within this team, potentially involving some very famous names.

Recently, another figure made posts related to SE. Specifically, one of SE’s former founders – Mr. Cao Lê Tuấn Tú – has shared cryptic writings regarding the negative situation at the team nicknamed “Pink Chickens”. His posts carry a tone of regret for the efforts put in and also convey an apology to the fans. Additionally, he included a post affirming that he and the other co-owners of SE are completely uninvolved in any negativity.

However, the posts from the former co-owner of SE almost implicitly affirm that there are indeed issues with this team, and they are not trivial matters. Many viewers have expressed their regrets, but some are thinking about the worst-case scenario. This incident will not only affect SE but certainly the entire Vietnamese LoL scene as well, especially as teams are gearing up for the 2023 World Championship and the upcoming ASIAD.
