AI Ranks the 5 Greatest League of Legends Players but Sparks Major Controversy
As we know, aside from Faker, any player deemed “great” or “the best in League of Legends history” will inevitably stir controversy, and any ranking will bring about subjective opinions. Recently, Western media used AI to select the 5 players worthy of being called the greatest in League of Legends history, and immediately, aside from Faker, this list sparked debate with the inclusion of Uzi, TheShy, Bengi, and Rookie.

In reality, these players are indeed worthy of being called great. However, ranking them just behind Faker will likely lead to fierce arguments both now and in the future. First up is Uzi. Although the former RNG star entered the Hall of Legends last year, it’s clear that when Riot compiled his achievements by item milestones in his skin line, they could not find many of Uzi’s glories. In fact, even his transfer milestone had to be included “just to fill the list.”

Nevertheless, Uzi is still regarded as the face of the entire LPL region, so that may not cause too much controversy. Bengi, being the first jungle player to win the World Championship 3 times, also has a normal position in the list. However, when looking at the roles and influence of Rookie and TheShy, it seems quite disproportionate that these two players are recognized primarily for their fame in the LPL.
Considering titles and reputation, TheShy and Rookie seem to have faded into the past. Moreover, they are players from South Korea but only became famous while playing in the LPL. For LCK fans, this is very hard to accept. The inconsistent performance of both players is also a factor against them appearing in lists like this.

– Where are Chovy or Ruler, Gumayusi?
– What else do TheShy and Rookie have aside from the 2018 World Championship?
– Bengi? TheShy? Rookie? Is this AI still stuck in 2018?
Aside from Faker, every ranking in professional League of Legends is likely to always have disagreements
In reality, aside from Faker, every League of Legends viewer likely has their own legends, players they idolize above all. In that context, every debate may never yield an accurate outcome, both now and in the future.
