Bengi Shares About Faker
In just a few hours, T1 will clash with DK in the first match of the playoffs of the reigning world champion, officially kicking off the most critical phase of the season. Given the current strength dynamics and past performances, T1 is naturally rated higher. However, Faker and his teammates cannot afford to be complacent. Recently, ahead of the match, Bengi (currently the coach of DK) shared some thoughts about his younger friend – a close teammate in the past: Faker.

According to Bengi: “Since I debuted as a professional player, I never thought a player’s career could last. But when I see Faker still competing at this level and still at the top, I think that’s entirely possible now. Faker is truly a great player.”
Bengi’s comments revolve around Faker’s historic contract, not only within League of Legends but also in the broader Esports scene. Bengi can be said to have accompanied Faker during the peak years of the “G.O.A.T” and is regarded as Faker’s “third summoner spell.” Bengi was also the head coach of T1 during the undefeated year of 2022 before leaving the team in 2023 after consistently finishing second in every tournament.

Faker has truly achieved great things
The impact and greatness of Faker in Esports, specifically League of Legends, or sports in general is beyond debate. To this day, perhaps the title “G.O.A.T” for Faker is not limited to League of Legends anymore but has spread throughout the entirety of Esports. And this is also the only undisputed “G.O.A.T” title currently.

The match against DK will kick off T1’s quest for their first title of 2025, as well as the journey for Faker and his teammates to defend their World Championship title. A victory is enough, but for the audience, how T1 wins will affirm the ambitions of this team.
