As MSI 2022 approaches, the League of Legends community, especially in the VCS region, is reminded of many memories from MSI 2021 last season. Specifically, at the time when VCS Spring 2021 was preparing to enter a crucial phase, player Zeros made a “groundbreaking” statement regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, Zeros was immediately given a global ban from the entire Riot system.
This was the first time a League of Legends player from VCS received such a severe penalty. It was also the first time a global ban was issued due to a player’s statement on their stream, which Riot decided to enforce. From the peak of his career, in an instant, the top laner of SBTC Esports lost everything. And now, he can only play casual showmatches with friends or participate in local tournaments and climb ranks as usual.

Nevertheless, during his competitive period, Zeros left a significant positive impression on the international community. With skillful and elegant plays, Zeros, despite being globally banned for over a year, still makes people remember him.
Specifically, recently, the LPL region compiled the three best tower defense situations in MSI history. Among them, Zeros’ play with the champion Sylas, where he executed a 1v3 defense against Isurus at MSI 2019, was ranked second. In this situation, Zeros did fall but managed to secure two kills on Buggax and Seiya, leaving only the jungler Oddie alive, yet ISG could not successfully dive the tower.
Witnessing this situation, the LPL community as well as many VCS fans must feel regret for the player who was once considered one of the best top laners that Vietnam’s League of Legends has ever produced. However, just because of thoughtless impulsive moments, Zeros has destroyed his own career. The highlights and solo kill records that the community still recalls only make fans feel both sad and angry for the former SE star.
