I don’t know if it’s due to the fear of the “runner-up curse” from two previous times, but before the VCS Spring 2021 final took place, three GAM Esports players, Kiaya, Kati, and Bie, unexpectedly decided to “shave their heads” for good luck.
As for Kiaya, this guy confidently declared that with his new “do,” he would… be more handsome than Hasmed. Witnessing the players’ spirited determination, GAM’s COO – Khánh Hiệp Izumin also confidently announced he would shave his head along with them if GAM won the championship.

Actions speak louder than words; after GAM Esports claimed their fifth VCS championship in the team’s history, with a 3-1 victory over Saigon Buffalo, Izumin pledged to “shave his head” as soon as he had some free time.
Initially, he planned to “shave his head” right after the evening of April 18, but due to unforeseen circumstances (GAM not qualifying for MSI), this promise was postponed for a few days. And recently, he finally had the chance to showcase his new haircut – a look that received loud cheers from the fans, while the poor guy could only lament, “I look too childish, guys.”

For Izumin personally, this is the first championship he has achieved after many years of working in the Esports field (including time as a player and in management). During his professional playing days, most of the teams Izumin played for lacked the strength to compete for the top title, so obtaining a title has become a burning desire for this former player who has a habit of using E Olaf on minions for many years.
Perhaps that’s why the GAM director is determined to make a bold move by cutting off his hair. One reason is to keep his promise to the fans, and the other is to commemorate a memorable milestone in his career.
