This player made some “key” plays in HLE’s victory but was unintentionally “forgotten”
Recently, HLE had a rather dramatic victory against NS, having to go through 3 games to defeat the “spicy noodle squad.” However, the final victory for the “orange team” not only helped them maintain their chase but also allowed HLE to evaluate the strength of a “strange” lineup they used in game 2. Yet, amidst the praise for Gumayusi, Delight, and Zeka, one player seems to have been “forgotten”: Zeus.

In fact, during this BO3 match, NS exploited Zeus’s position quite thoroughly, leading to HLE’s top lane not having an impressive KDA. However, in game 3, Zeus’s Rek’Sai not only significantly contributed to maintaining an early-game lead but also had some excellent crowd control and damage output against the enemy carries.
In the decisive teamfight, alongside Delight’s cover, Zeus’s ability to sweep through the opponent was a crucial foundation for HLE’s victory. However, in the POM voting at the end of the match, only Delight, Gumayusi, and Zeka were voted for POM, with Delight ultimately winning the vote. Zeus, on the other hand, received no votes at all.

Zeus is also “benefiting” from HLE’s growing cohesion
Throughout the 2026 LCK Cup, it is clear that Zeus is the most stable player and the burden of “carrying the team” rests on the shoulders of the two-time World Championship top laner. However, as his teammates have become more cohesive, even though Zeus frequently becomes a target for exploitation, his teammates still maintain and even overpower their opponents. This creates a foundation for Zeus to reach his peak strength at the right moments and have a greater impact in the second half of the game.

Therefore, Zeus may still feel comfortable, even if he did not receive any POM votes despite his silent but significant contributions to HLE’s victory. After all, HLE’s win is what matters most.
