Faker’s Unbelievable Stat
At this point, it can be said that Faker is one of the longest-standing players in the League of Legends scene, and he himself holds numerous records. Faker has the most kills in LCK, the most assists in LCK… With such achievements, one would think all of Faker’s stats would be impressive compared to an average player. However, there is one stat that Faker has very few of at present. That is the number of pentakills that Faker has secured in his career.

Specifically, it is hard to believe that a player who has showcased many high damage champions (LeBlanc, Ryze) or champions with multi-target skills (Orianna, Azir) like Faker, after more than 11 years in his career, has only managed to secure exactly 1 pentakill. Of course, obtaining a pentakill is not an easy feat. But the fact that Faker’s number is so low is surprising, even though he has been a source of damage for T1 both in the past and now.

Fans Also Feel Sorry for Faker
In the second game of the match against HLE, Faker actually came very close to securing a second pentakill in his career. However, Gumayusi, with the damage from Ziggs, quickly “shut down” Smolder, causing Faker to miss out on the pentakill opportunity. With Faker’s career not having much time left, and given that he is mostly at his best when playing champions that can make plays, such chances are quite rare.

However, perhaps for Faker and the T1 players, achieving a pentakill is a good thing, but winning is even better. Therefore, quickly taking down opponents and then securing the final victory is more important than accumulating kills or setting records. Because only victory is truly what everyone desires, especially T1. And stats are merely embellishments to the victory or sources of regret if they result in defeat.
