Famous Figures in Vietnamese Esports Take Action
As we know, in recent days, the people of Vietnam have collectively turned their attention to the northern provinces that are severely affected by the Yagi storm and the aftermath this extremely strong storm has left behind. In this context, governmental agencies have also published many messages to encourage citizens across the country to support the North in overcoming difficulties. Of course, in this situation, the Vietnamese Esports community is not standing idly by.
Recently, the family of female MC Mai Dora was one of the first prominent figures in the League of Legends scene to “fire the first shot”. The MC did not disclose the exact amount transferred or the specific sum, but she is among the pioneers in the Vietnamese League of Legends community in supporting the people of the North.

Not only the family of MC Mai Dora, but commentator Hoàng Luân also made a significant contribution. Specifically, the renowned commentator in the Vietnamese League of Legends scene announced that he had donated 10 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. According to commentator Hoàng Luân, the total amount he donated is 14,500,000 VND, but the remaining amount will be donated to children rescued from a recent incident in District 12 that stirred public opinion.

A member of the GAM Esports coaching staff, former famous AD carry BigKoro, has also made a donation. Among the League of Legends teams, Vikings Esports and Team Whales have taken the lead in supporting the people. Specifically, “Cá Voi” (Whale) team raised funds by selling jerseys so that fans could receive certain benefits in community activities.

Fandoms in the Vietnamese Esports Scene Also Speak Up
Not only KOLs, MCs, or commentators in the Vietnamese Esports scene, but also the fandoms of teams or players from LCK/VCS/LPL have their own ways to honor their idols while supporting the people of the North. It’s not hard to see on many social media platforms that the fandoms of T1 are the most active. Additionally, fans of player Oner, player Hasmed, and others also engaged in donation activities in the name of their idols.

Currently, images or information related to relief efforts in the North are spreading rapidly within the VCS community specifically and the Vietnamese Esports community in general. As the whole country turns its attention to the North, Esports will certainly fulfill its responsibilities.
