Faker “names” two formidable opponents
One of the teams that many players and other teams are looking forward to at Worlds 2024 is undoubtedly T1. Not only are they the reigning champions of Worlds 2023, but during last year’s journey, T1 defeated many formidable opponents. In particular, all four representatives from the LPL were vanquished by T1 on their quest for the pinnacle of glory. In fact, Faker’s miraculous play in the match against JD Gaming has become an inspiration and is still talked about to this day.

However, for Faker himself, he has some rivals he hopes to meet again at the upcoming Worlds 2024. In a recent interview, Faker pointed out two formidable names he wants to face in the matches at Worlds 2024: “We lost to BLG at MSI 2024. Although T1 later defeated them at EWC 2024, I still think BLG and TES are very strong teams. I hope to compete against these teams once again. Not only because this is a competition between regions, but many fans will also look forward to such a match.”
BLG is a rival with a storied history with T1
Compared to TES, BLG has a more storied rivalry with T1, and the LPL representative has also been the name that defeated T1 in the lower bracket finals at two consecutive MSI tournaments. Although T1 later avenged their losses to BLG, it is clear that the defeats at MSI have always blocked T1’s path to glory at this tournament. Furthermore, at this moment, BLG is considered one of the top two teams in the world (alongside Gen.G). To face BLG, T1 may have to reach the grand finals of Worlds 2024. Meanwhile, TES was defeated by T1 at EWC 2024.

But the “China-Korea showdown” in the League of Legends scene will also bring a lot of emotions for the audience. Therefore, if T1 can continue to defeat LPL teams and take the crown once again, their achievements will be even greater.
