Worlds 2024 unexpectedly becomes “Jujutsu Kaisen” of LoL
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a popular manga/anime from Japan that has gained a lot of fans in Vietnam. Although the series has many controversial moments, especially regarding how the author resolves issues and plot points, it cannot be denied that Jujutsu Kaisen has built a strong community, along with iconic imagery, particularly associated with the character Satoru Gojo. In Vietnam, many readers humorously refer to the Vietnamese title as “The Great Exorcist Battle”. Recently, numerous League of Legends fans have noted that Worlds 2024 is gradually turning into a “Great Exorcist Battle” as teams start to incorporate “spiritual elements”.

In the outfit announcement events leading up to Worlds 2024, many LPL and LCK teams have chosen white as their primary color. Even teams that typically sport darker colors, such as T1 (black and red), Gen.G (black, yellow, and gray), and LPL’s Top Esports (black and red), and LNG Esports (blue), have opted for white on the first day of Worlds 2024.
The reason many fans believe this trend originates from a “tradition” of Worlds, where in the past, whenever a team with a colorful outfit emerged victorious, the following year would feature a team with a predominantly white outfit.

Even Chovy joins in to aim for the Worlds 2024 championship
According to Gen.G’s COO, the team this year is also entering Worlds 2024 with a white outfit – quite different from previous years when they prioritized darker tones. However, this was actually suggested by Chovy himself: “I have always wanted a white competition outfit for a long time and I’m very glad that Chovy and other players have also suggested this.”

As for Chovy, it’s no surprise that he wants to incorporate “spiritual elements” into his journey at Worlds 2024. Always regarded as one of the best Mid Laners in the world, but among the four midlaners from LCK in this tournament, only Chovy has yet to win a Worlds trophy. Therefore, the pressure on him will be even heavier, especially since Gen.G has made significant investments to compete for the title.

In every match, luck always plays a certain role in every achievement. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Chovy is also very excited about the white competition outfit at this important tournament in his career.
