The only champion with an extremely high win rate that Faker will never choose to skin
In the history of League of Legends (LoL) in general and the World Championship (Worlds) in particular, Faker is the player with the most championships to date. Along with that, of course, is the huge number of skins he possesses. Many champions have been associated with miraculous moments that helped Faker secure championships for SKT T1/T1. According to statistics from DPM.LOL, Faker also holds the highest win rate with Azir in the history of League of Legends. However, this will also be the champion that will never receive a skin from the “Demon King”.

For instance, in 2024 or even earlier in 2023, Faker frequently used Azir and secured important victories for T1. Notably, Faker’s Shurima Shuffle against JDG can be said to have helped T1 get one step closer to one of the most significant international titles in League of Legends. But despite winning two consecutive championships, Faker did not choose Azir.
The reason speculated by the community is that Faker wants to show maximum respect for EasyHoon – who was both a substitute for Faker in the legendary SKT T1 lineup of 2015 and an incredibly skilled Azir main known for his “Azir farming kills” playstyle. Even though the number of Shurima Shuffles EasyHoon performed wasn’t too many, he is still considered one of the best players of this champion in League of Legends.

Faker Continues to Achieve Perfect KDA with Azir
At the 2025 Worlds, after a long time of opponents continuously “auto-banning” Azir whenever facing T1, Faker was once again able to use this champion in the match against MKOI. Not disappointing his fans, Faker not only helped T1 win but also achieved a Perfect KDA (not dying at all). Not just a victory, but it could also be a “warning” to future opponents of T1.

However, the fact that Faker had to make clutch plays too early shows that the overall performance of T1 is not quite stable yet. The quarterfinals will be a battle between T1 and AL, and the LPL representatives have taken down the two strongest seeds from LCK currently, Gen.G and HLE. This will be the toughest challenge for T1 so far and could significantly impact their chances of winning this year’s Worlds championship.
