The LCK Region is Ramping Up to Finalize Jungle Positions
In recent days, news about the transfer deals of LCK teams has become hotter than ever. Most recently, Korean news outlets revealed Gen.G’s new lineup with Ruler returning, while the top side trio of Kiin, Canyon, and Chovy will re-sign. Not long ago, T1 also officially announced that they have secured Oner’s signature for the upcoming 2025 season.

Besides the two prominent teams mentioned above, other notable names such as Peanut at HLE and Lucid from DK still have contracts with their respective teams. Additionally, transfer rumor experts in the LCK have also hinted that all remaining teams are preparing to announce jungle players for the upcoming 2025 season. This is considered one of the first positions to be “finalized” by LCK teams.

Former MSI Champion – Kanavi Likely to Have No Place in LCK
Right after the above information was announced, many viewers expressed their “confusion” as it lacked the name Kanavi. It’s worth noting that just a few weeks ago, numerous rumors about Kanavi’s return to LCK surfaced on Korean League of Legends forums. Some rumors even suggested that KDF would acquire both Kanavi and Scout, making a strong resurgence and becoming a significant challenge for many teams in the upcoming 2025 season. However, if the list of junglers mentioned is accurate, Kanavi will have no place in LCK for the 2025 season.

Fairly speaking, Kanavi’s performance in 2024 has significantly declined compared to his own performance in 2023. Moreover, Kanavi has spent too long playing in the LPL and has become accustomed to the style of play there. Not to mention, the salary he demands may not be small at all. These factors make Kanavi a relatively risky acquisition for teams in the LCK, which is why they are not particularly keen on pursuing the former MSI champion of 2023.

Ultimately, the information mentioned above remains at the rumor level, and the “leaker” is also uncertain about Sylvie’s position at KDF. However, KDF recently announced the signing of Pyosik, so it is likely that Kanavi will not have a spot on this team. Thus, Kanavi finding himself without a place in LCK and having to return to LPL to compete soon would not be too surprising.
