Doran Faces “Calamity” Upon Joining T1
Not only is this directly related to the transfer drama between T1 and Zeus, but Doran has recently encountered another “calamity” as a member of the 2024 World Champions. Specifically, according to some netizens, several of Doran’s ranked matches have faced DDoS attacks. While this player attempts to find a match, his teammates in the queue continue to lose connection.

Notably, this is not the first time DDoS issues have been mentioned in relation to T1. As Faker and T1’s COO have previously shared, DDoS attacks have been occurring since late 2023. However, no matter how much effort T1 puts in, they have been unable to fully resolve this issue. They reported it to Riot and the LCK organizers but to no avail, and T1 has had to “live with the flood” since early 2024.
Moreover, not only is T1’s League of Legends team a “victim” of DDoS, but other esports teams under T1 have also “shared the same fate.” And now, Doran has come to understand the circumstances of those who were once his opponents throughout this time.

A Difficult Future Awaits T1 in 2025
Unlike Zeus, who has had at least two years to “get used” to T1 before the DDoS events, Doran is a complete newcomer. His prior experience playing with T1 players included only casual showmatches. Therefore, he is taking advantage of the break to play ranked but is now facing this challenging issue.

This will undoubtedly affect T1 and Doran’s preparation for the new season. It remains unclear how T1 will resolve this issue. However, it can be said that the recurring DDoS incidents may be an ominous sign for a very challenging season ahead for T1 in 2025.
