HLV CvMax’s player criticism before the T1 match sparks community debate
By now, the LoL community is quite familiar with HLV CvMax’s intense player reprimands. Known as a strict coach with a different approach compared to most of his peers, the former Griffin coach always sparks controversy whenever behind-the-scenes clips of DK are released or his former players share their stories.
Recently, ahead of their loss to T1, a clip of HLV CvMax “sấy” his players surfaced again, and this time even experts found it hard to accept.

The clip focuses on HLV CvMax questioning DK players after their recent loss to KT. According to the coach, his players repeatedly showed unnecessary haste. He didn’t hesitate to name players like Siwoo and ShowMaker as responsible for the defeat, especially in game 2 when DK was leading by 7k gold during the mid-game peak.

However, the harshness of HLV CvMax made many uncomfortable. To date, DK’s coach remains a rare figure in the LCK. His impact is clear, but many believe his strictness is excessive. The players are currently at their lowest in both performance and morale, yet the severity of his coaching might be deepening their crisis. Evidence is seen in DK’s subsequent swift 2-0 defeat by T1.
Renowned streamer Caedrel also commented: “This could destroy players’ careers if repeated continuously over a long period. Mentally, they will be drained by the end of their careers. Their confidence is hit daily.”

After T1, DK under HLV CvMax faces a tough road ahead
Following the match against T1, DK will face a challenging schedule, with HLE still in contention and the underdog BRO hoping to advance. However, they will also have some “easier” matches expected to help DK recover and regain form like in the first half of the season before things worsened.
