The Gumayusi – Keria Duo Proves They Were Once T1’s “Treasures”
One of the standout factors in T1’s recent loss to HLE was the performance of key players expected to shine in this match, including Zeus and Gumayusi (HLE), and on the other side, Keria. Notably, the former T1 bot lane duo Gumayusi – Keria showcased all their refined skills. This performance revealed a truth: Gumayusi and Keria didn’t elevate each other — it’s simply that the world’s best AD once paired with the world’s best Support, and they had perfect synergy.

For HLE, Gumayusi’s excellent form is one thing, but his ability to play independently is the crucial factor. When Delight was “freed” from always having to stick close to the AD, Kanavi gained an additional partner for gank plays. Meanwhile, HLE consistently established numerical advantages during ganks, tower dives, and objective control. Especially, even in 1v2 or 1v1 situations, Gumayusi didn’t lose to Peyz during the laning phase — in fact, he dominated.

Meanwhile, Keria remained T1’s best-performing player throughout the BO3 against HLE. His Poppy in game 3 played a significant role alongside Doran to help T1 maintain early game control. Unfortunately, when HLE achieved their goals in the challenging laning phase, in mid and late game, combined with errors from T1, Keria ultimately was “powerless.”
From this, an important takeaway emerged: Gumayusi and Keria can shine even when apart from their longtime teammate. However, the HLE AD won because he played excellently and his teammates were equally strong.

But Gumayusi and Keria Will Likely Never Reunite on an LCK Team
With Keria having extended his contract with T1 through 2029, the chance of Gumayusi and Keria reuniting again is almost impossible. However, if both are called up to the upcoming ASIAD roster, the legendary Gu-Ke duo will return — an event many LoL fans are eagerly anticipating.
