Gumayusi Shares About His Desired Opponent
Currently, Gumayusi and HLE are performing well in the LCK 2026 Rounds 1-2. They are sitting in second place with an impressive winning streak. Notably, one of HLE’s defeated teams is Gen.G – the reigning LCK and MSI champion. Of course, HLE cannot be complacent about this achievement as their journey has just begun. However, when asked, Gumayusi directed his attention toward the goal of participating in the international tournament and expressed his desire to face G2 and BLG.

Accordingly, HLE’s AD Carry stated: “First, I want to face G2, the team that has defeated LCK teams twice in the First Stand. Or BLG, the team that won the First Stand. I think it would be fun to compete against either of those teams.”
Interestingly, G2 and BLG are two out of the three teams that the community often considers “connected” with T1 – Gumayusi’s former team. The reason is that these are three teams that are rare in the League of Legends scene with formidable rosters and strength, even being championship contenders for every tournament they participate in. However, for various reasons, all three teams often perform inconsistently and only truly “awaken” during crucial stages. As for T1, they only show their best form when participating in the World Championship.

Gumayusi and His Teammates Have a Chance to Attend MSI but Must Be Cautious
The team nicknamed “the Orange House” is performing well, which is undeniable. However, HLE itself has faced some issues in previous matches. With an unstable Gen.G, HLE can definitely surpass them as they have already proven. But mistakes need to be minimized, as they won’t always have the opportunity to rectify them, especially with the undefeated KT still waiting ahead of HLE.
