The former legend also felt “regret” after T1 finished their draft
Although it is clear that at this point, from the past matches, it can be understood that DK is a very unpredictable opponent. However, the way T1 lost to this team truly surprised and disappointed viewers. Faker and his teammates actually had a chance to win, but they threw it all away themselves. From a professional standpoint, former captain MaRin, during a co-stream, commented that one of the factors leading to T1’s defeat was indeed the draft phase.

Accordingly, MaRin stated during T1’s draft: “It was a mistake to blind pick that champion (Gnar). When I use Vayne, I can completely defeat Gnar. And hey, don’t pick Aurora. If you choose Aurora, there is no damage. […] Ahhh, they picked Aurora already. This is a team composition that completely lacks damage: Aurora, Jarvan IV, Gnar.”

And the reality showed that if T1 hadn’t had an incredible Pyke from Keria in the early game, they might have lost to DK right during the laning phase. In every position, T1 was almost always at a disadvantage compared to DK. In fact, T1’s burst damage potential was not comparable without Keria. Moreover, the longer the game dragged on, champions like Gnar or even Mel from T1 could not match the damage output of DK’s players. The reality was proven right after the mid-game phase ended.

T1 needs to seriously reflect on this defeat
In the LCK Regular Seasons 2026 so far, T1 has lost 3 matches. These are all matches from which they could not recover, against opponents who seemed much weaker. T1 fans may have their reasons to defend their players. However, it cannot be denied that T1 is facing problems in every position, and they need to seriously reflect on themselves before the season slips too far out of control.
