Drama Between Ruler and Faker Reminds Fans of Gumayusi
As we know, recently, the League of Legends community in South Korea was extremely outraged when a segment of Ruler’s fans started scrutinizing Faker’s tax issues. The aim of this incident was, of course, to divert attention from the criticisms directed at Gen.G’s AD carry. However, it’s clear that actions like these, especially against a player like Faker, will backfire. The way Fanable – the company representing Faker – handled the situation has left many Gumayusi fans feeling frustrated.

For those who may not know, Fanable is the company currently representing and managing both Faker and Gumayusi. Their partnership began when Gumayusi was still with T1, and even after he transitioned to HLE, the collaboration continued. However, on the afternoon of April 14 (Vietnam time), Fanable publicly stated that they would protect all their players (including Faker and Gumayusi) and would take legal action against anyone exhibiting negative behavior towards their clients.

The reason for Fanable’s announcement is well understood, stemming from the drama between Ruler and Faker. However, for many, especially Gumayusi’s fans, it’s too late for Fanable to act now. Many might still remember that last year, Gumayusi became a “victim” of the relentless and extreme attacks from T1Gall – the fanatic fanbase of Faker. Even when T1 won or during Faker’s anniversary, this group continued to attack Gumayusi in irrational ways.

At that time, both T1 and Fanable had no responses to address the situation. Therefore, when Fanable finally took action this time, many opinions suggest that it was due to Faker’s significant influence, and they could no longer turn a blind eye.
– They need to protect the players more; I don’t understand why these issues have dragged on for so long.
– Finally, they (Fanable) are doing something, after being silent about the Gumayusi incident last year; I thought this was a “ghost” company.
– If possible, handle T1Gall as well.
Faker’s Position is Simply “Untouchable”
In reality, even without Fanable, the community has already “resolved” the drama related to Faker. In the LCK and League of Legends in general, Faker’s position is simply “untouchable” regardless of whether it’s fans or players/teams.
