HLE Coach Makes Controversial Remarks Amid Ongoing T1 – Zeus Drama
As known, in recent days, the League of Legends community has continued to debate the T1 – Zeus transfer drama. Just when it seemed the situation had settled, HLE has repeatedly made moves that “add fuel to the fire,” igniting fans’ frustrations. Recently, Coach DanDy made controversial statements that some T1 fans interpreted as “dissing” OFGK to elevate Zeus.

According to Coach DanDy’s remarks about his new student: “I think Zeus has shown the most outstanding performances on the team (T1) in both World Championships. Of course, the other members also played excellently, but Zeus stands out the most. He has qualities and skills that no one can imitate, both in picks and bans as well as in-game handling. He is truly very annoying and not easy to deal with.”
For those who may not know, DanDy is the head coach of HLE and will directly coach Zeus from the 2025 season. However, his statements have incited outrage within the League of Legends community, especially among T1 fans.

League of Legends Community Views HLE Coach’s Remarks as “Dissing” T1
According to many opinions, while Zeus was the FMVP of the 2023 World Championship finals and contributed to T1’s journey in 2024, saying he is the most outstanding player truly seems to “diss” T1. The reason is that in the match against JD Gaming at the 2023 World Championship (a match considered decisive), it was Faker’s Shurima Shuffle that was key in dismantling JDG in both the results and morale.
Moving to the 2024 World Championship, Faker once again shone in the most critical match against BLG. If he were less prominent than Zeus, he wouldn’t have been able to win the FMVP of the final. Prior to that, Faker also performed exceptionally well in matches against Gen.G and Top Esports.

While stating that Zeus played a significant role in helping T1 win the championship, it would be harsh to diminish the efforts of the other four members by claiming Zeus is the standout factor. Moreover, this could be seen as a denial of Faker’s contributions, who has consistently made decisive plays that shaped the outcomes of the matches in both World Championships where T1 emerged victorious.
