Gen.G Faces a Dilemma Due to Ruler
As we know, recently, Ruler has encountered serious legal troubles that will likely significantly impact the Gen.G AD’s career journey this season. However, as always, this situation doesn’t only concern Ruler; Gen.G may also suffer collateral damage. And in the loss to KT, the first signs have emerged.

In this latest loss to KT, Ruler truly appeared ineffective in both games. It’s not just that KT performed better; perhaps Ruler himself struggled to concentrate at 100% due to ongoing troubles. With the psychological pressure weighing heavily and not related to professional issues, it will be difficult for Gen.G to intervene, and Ruler must resolve this himself. But as the situation is not yet over, no one can be sure that Ruler will regain his best form.

For Gen.G, they understand that using Ruler right now is a risky choice. If the 1998-born AD performs well, he may still face criticism for off-field issues. If the results are poor, like in the match against KT, the criticism will fall on Gen.G for using Ruler. But they have no other options as their AD in the Challengers team certainly cannot reach the level of their senior in such a short time. If they use a young player, the burden will shift to the other members of Gen.G.

Gen.G Needs to Resolve This Issue as Soon as Possible
In reality, Gen.G and Ruler lost to a KT team that is full of uncertainties this season, having also defeated T1. Coming up, Gen.G will face a BFX team that is also riddled with problems after their recent loss to BRO. “The Golden Fox” will be a suitable opponent for Gen.G to regain their form. However, the situation will become even more serious if Gen.G continues to falter, especially when facing a team like Diable, known for its unpredictability.
