LPL’s Renowned Coach ‘Brags Hard’ After T1’s Loss

As we know, recently, T1 faced a significant defeat in the elimination match of the 2026 LCK Cup Playoffs. Not only did they lose the chance to claim their first LCK title of 2026, but T1 was also eliminated from the First Stand 2026 – the international tournament at the start of the year for the League of Legends community. For T1 fans, this may be a “heartbreaking” moment as T1 has missed opportunities in two consecutive early-year tournaments. However, for other teams, especially LPL, this news is seen as “good news,” as confirmed by Coach KenZhu.

T1 has lost its chance to compete in the LCK Cup and First Stand 2026.

Accordingly, Coach KenZhu made a bold statement on his livestream channel: “If T1 cannot participate in the upcoming First Stand, then BLG is almost guaranteed to win. Because the only team that could stop BLG is no longer in the running. Given their current form, T1 might even struggle to make the top 4 if they compete in LPL. The quality of the BO5 match the other day was not on par with LPL. In fact, I can confidently say it was less exciting than BLG’s matches.”

Coach KenZhu is confident this will be LPL's First Stand season.

However, LPL’s Ambitions Will Face Other ‘Challenges’

Nevertheless, the early-year challenge for LPL teams’ title aspirations is never about T1. The real challenge for the representatives of League of Legends from China will be Gen.G – a team that has so far displayed an almost flawless performance. Their only blemish this season might be the match where Ruler and Kiin faced some difficulties against their opponents from DK.

Therefore, even though former Coach KenZhu appears very confident, Gen.G and possibly BNK/DK are formidable opponents. Having already defeated T1, they could easily make LPL teams, including BLG, feel the sting of defeat.
