DK Continues to Extend Their “Sad Days” Streak Against Gen.G
In the new season, DK has made some notable personnel changes in the Bot Lane, with the addition of Smash and Career. Clearly, DK not only wants to leverage ShowMaker’s experience but also wants to build a successor generation. However, after some impressive matches at the start of the season, DK has yet to show significant improvement. Recently, DK has continued to extend their unfortunate losing streak against Gen.G.

As of January 16, 2022, DK has not found any victories against Gen.G. Including the recent loss in the Round 2 Playoffs of the LCK Cup 2026, DK has lost a total of 21 matches in a row to Gen.G. Of course, they haven’t lost every match without winning any games. DK has managed to secure some game wins, but the overall result has still been defeat for ShowMaker and his teammates.

Perhaps no one knows when DK will end this streak
Given the current circumstances and the power dynamics between the two teams, even DK fans are unsure when their team can end this losing streak. In the 2025 season, although they sometimes displayed a performance that wasn’t quite optimal, like in the recent match against DK, even when Ruler and Kiin were both “not performing”, Gen.G still had Chovy, Canyon… enough to secure victory.

Nevertheless, DK is investing in the future. And it’s very likely that in some season, amidst unexpected changes, ShowMaker and his teammates will finally end what may be the longest losing streak of his career against a specific opponent.
