DK Stars Experience “Unforgettable” Moments After Losing to T1
In the League of Legends community, teams usually have a highly skilled coaching staff that contributes to the drafting phase, analysis, and discussions with players before, during, and after each match. Additionally, many coaches are seen as “caretakers” for the players. However, most coaches discuss matters with players in a gentle and friendly manner. Coach CvMax is a rare exception who does not hesitate to “fire up” his students, and recently, DK had a “horrifying” experience after their loss to T1.
In a recently revealed clip after T1’s “crushing” 0-3 defeat of DK, the strictness of the former Griffin coach was evident. He did not hesitate to question: “You all played as if you were overly intimidated by them. Do you think they are superior to you? Do you really want to defeat your opponents? If you keep thinking like that, you won’t be able to be professional players.”
In reality, T1 not only “outclassed” DK, but anyone watching could clearly see: DK did not play like a team that “wanted to win.” In fact, they showed almost no resistance against Faker and his teammates. Therefore, the match during T1’s Super Week can be considered one of the easiest victories for the reigning World Champion this season.
But perhaps DK needs such “pushes”
Currently, DK is a youthful team with great potential but has yet to show sufficient determination and effort. Their skill level is one thing, but clearly, when facing teams like T1 or Gen.G, DK is too easily shattered. This is something that should not happen to young players, especially when they also aim for titles.
Coach CvMax’s “firing up” has excited the community, with a shared opinion that “this is necessary for DK.” The journey of this team in the new season has just begun, and refining the mindset of young players is never a redundant task.
