T1’s coach admits that BLG’s draft gave the LCK representatives more advantages than anticipated
It has been quite a while since the 2024 World Championship finals. Additionally, after the season ended, the League of Legends community has been drawn into continuous transfer drama, particularly involving the very team that just claimed the title less than a month ago – T1. Recently, some insider discussions about the finals have been revealed, attracting audience interest.

According to T1’s coach Roach, T1 studied Bilibili Gaming thoroughly right after the semifinals against Gen.G and discovered that BLG’s Skarner was indeed very strong. Coach Roach said: “In the finals against BLG, they had previously used Skarner exceptionally well, arguably the best. We had to devise a plan to counter this champion at all costs. But for some reason, they kept banning Skarner, making it much easier for T1.”

In reality, even though it took all 5 games and required some “godly” plays from Faker to secure victory, Skarner was absent in 4 out of 5 games. Notably, this was due to BLG’s bans, despite Xun being the only player with a 100% win rate on Skarner with 5 or more games played.

T1 Deserves to Win
However, no matter what, it must be acknowledged that T1 made bold choices, and their players were capable of creating opportunities when necessary. T1’s victory was due to multiple factors, and while BLG’s draft may have “self-destructed,” T1 performed excellently in the recent finals.

In the new season, T1 has undergone some personnel changes, and BLG has similarly seen changes. Therefore, if this matchup is repeated in tournaments like MSI or Worlds, it promises to be incredibly exciting and just as pressuring for the players involved.
