HLE 2026 Sets an “Unforgettable Record” in the First Week of LCK Cup 2026
After the end of the 2025 offseason transfer period, most of the community assessed that HLE 26 would be an extremely strong team. The position that raised the most doubts was whether Kanavi could surpass Peanut or at least adequately replace the “Little Bean.” However, after the first week of the LCK Cup 2026, HLE has set a shameful “record”: for the first time in the team’s history, they lost both of their opening matches of the new LCK season.

Since changing its name to HLE, the “Orange House” team has had its ups and downs, but they have never lost two matches in a row. Furthermore, the last match HLE lost to NS in the group stage of the LCK was back in Summer 2022 – a time that could be described as the “lowest point” for the “insurance” team.
HLE is Against the Wall
With the current lineup, just one more loss, and HLE will almost certainly lose their top position in the Elder group and could end up having to play in the Play-In round if this group maintains its winning stance. Nevertheless, not many people still believe HLE can reclaim good results. After all, the final match of the group stage will be a showdown between HLE and Gen.G. At this point, it is difficult to say that HLE can compete evenly with Gen.G, let alone win.

However, HLE still needs to revamp the entire lineup and prepare for the upcoming phase. The Elder group still has the potential to be a winning group, as DK and BFX are performing well. If HLE can recover in time, everything will be fine. Otherwise, any adverse results could leave HLE regretting their choices.
