Viper Receives Negative Feedback from Former RNG Coach
As we know, one of the most notable departures during the 2025 year-end transfer season was Viper’s exit. It can be said that the LCK transfer market has never been shaken like this year due to two AD players. Viper’s next destination is BLG – a team that has been known as the “successor of the Royal Legion” with a policy of only using domestic players, which has now been broken for Viper. However, Viper’s debut in the LPL at the Demacia Cup has not been very successful.

Even former RNG coach KenZhu had to comment: “After this match, can we still call it ‘Viper’s state’? I’ve watched every match of Viper, but this time, I can’t defend him anymore. How can he be so poor? This is not the Viper I knew. But anyway, we’ll only know for sure in the main tournament. More importantly, we need to call Knight back to practice for preparation.”
Currently, BLG has finished their Demacia Cup campaign with only 1 win (against Oh My God) and the rest losses. Viper himself has tried to perform but hasn’t really stood out. In fact, when facing Elk – the former AD of BLG, Viper had a total KDA of 11/14/6 compared to Elk’s 19/7/24.

Viper Also Needs Time to Adapt Back to LPL
In reality, the Demacia Cup has never been a tournament that LPL teams, especially top teams, prioritize highly. The tournament is held just before the new season begins, when teams have just finished their transfer periods and players have stabilized their futures, starting to rest and prepare for the new season. Therefore, if LPL does not mandate participation, teams are willing to send young players instead.

Therefore, the performance at the Demacia Cup won’t carry much significance. And Viper also needs time to readjust, as he has been away from the LPL for too long, and this region has undergone many changes compared to over three years ago when Viper decided to return to Korea.
