In recent updates, Riot Games has been “assassinating” champions in League of Legends by adding excessive damage to champions or items. This has made League of Legends feel “overloaded” with the massive damage that champions can inflict.

Even in the current 10.4 update, Riot Games has also boosted champions like Diana, Zed, Talon, Sylas, Jayce,… Notably, Ornn has been ridiculously strong recently but has not been nerfed at all:

Returning to the current meta, top lane fighters have too much damage such as Ornn, Sett, Aatrox, Mordekaiser,… all of whom can tank while also being the primary damage dealers in the team. However, these champions are being overshadowed by… Soraka – one of the faint glimmers of hope against champions with excessive damage in the top lane. Yet, Riot Games’ decision to nerf Soraka has rendered her weaker than ever, allowing those top lane champions to continue their reign. Additionally, increasing the damage of Bami’s Cinder (mini Fire Cloak) indirectly boosts the damage for current tank champions.

Many believe that Riot Games is overly focused on balancing a champion’s power while forgetting that each champion has a specific role in League of Legends. For example, a tank shouldn’t have too much damage, and a fighter shouldn’t become an assassin,… Therefore, strengthening these champions is extremely unreasonable. Riot Games needs to make more reasonable balancing decisions to prevent League of Legends from having a “monochrome” meta like the current one.
