As a female streamer, one always has to find ways to look their best in front of the camera. Not to mention, the pressures from family and the community are something that not every girl can bravely overcome. It’s fair to say that being a streamer is no different from “being a daughter-in-law to a hundred families,” yet passion is the biggest motivation for talented hot streamer Lyly Sury to persevere.
Hello Lyly Sury, can you introduce a little about yourself?
Hello everyone, I am Lyly Sury. My real name is Nguyễn Thị Hương Ly. I was born in 1996, grew up in Hà Tĩnh, and currently work in Hanoi. My main job now is a streamer in the game Liên Quân Mobile.

Why did you choose to be a streamer when it is such a challenging and harsh path?
Currently, being a streamer is a job that I am very passionate about, and I am very happy to be able to live and earn money from my passion. I really enjoy singing, and as the saying goes, “singing well is not as good as enjoying singing.” I often try to go live on Facebook, playing games while singing for everyone, thinking I would get “hate,” but surprisingly, I received a lot of support. Previously, I was a freelance actress, and when I stopped acting, friends encouraged me to try streaming. Besides singing, I also really love playing games, so streaming truly is my passion. I’ve been a streamer for 2 years now, and this job has brought me many things I desire.

What are the difficulties in your job? How do you react when faced with malicious comments?
Encountering malicious comments is unavoidable, and so is the harassment. This is the challenge that I have to struggle with a lot when doing this job. No matter how you put it, sometimes it’s really upsetting because I haven’t done anything to deserve such comments. But then I think again, being a streamer is no different from “being a daughter-in-law to a hundred families,” how can I please everyone? Those who appreciate me will stay, while those who don’t like me will leave malicious comments and harass me. However, I’ve gotten used to it, and now those things motivate me to strive harder.

In your opinion, what are the important factors that determine success in the streaming profession today? How do you evaluate the streamer community in Vietnam currently?
There are many factors for success, but I think the most important thing is to have passion and truly focus on the job. Focusing here means you need to learn, study, and improve yourself to keep making yourself fresh. And you also have to add a bit of luck too! As for my evaluation of the community, I see that streamers in Vietnam are currently very numerous and lively; I have many friends who share the same interests and passions as I do.

What are your plans for the future?
My upcoming plans are to further develop my music career; besides streaming games, I want to enrich my knowledge to produce high-quality music products in the future. Additionally, I also want to build a female team to compete in Liên Quân Mobile and League of Legends: Wild Rift tournaments. I hope you all will follow and support me!
Thank you, Ly, for this meaningful sharing. Wishing you continued success on the path you have chosen!
