In the latest stream yesterday (March 12), Nguyễn “Optimus” Văn Cường a.k.a Professor Cuong 10 billion shared further information about Over Power Gaming, his upcoming League of Legends team. Optimus also told his viewers that details such as the team acquiring a slot in the VCS and whether he will continue to compete are still undisclosed; if so, he will announce it through a talk show with Coach Tinikun.

Optimus talked extensively about his time at SGD and revealed that he once served as the executive director of this team. His experience interacting with team members at that time provided him with valuable insights into training young talents. Therefore, OPG, Optimus’s upcoming League of Legends team, will focus heavily on training “rising stars”; he even wants an Academy team and possibly an OPG team for other disciplines as well.
The two people that Optimus is most eager to collaborate with are Teacher Ba and Tu Sena, whom he believes would be very suitable as head coach and assistant coach. Optimus himself prefers to focus on the technical director’s analysis rather than direct coaching. Right after this news broke, most LOL fans jokingly said, “Just hearing the coach’s names already feels like a disaster.”

Fundamentally, Teacher Ba has previous experience leading the FFQ team, so it makes sense for him to coach Optimus’s OPG team. However, a major question mark lies with Tu Sena’s name as he only has experience as a streamer, and his coaching experience remains a genuine question.

Moreover, the ‘comedic’ image and cheerful streamer persona that the SBTC team has created is already deeply ingrained in the minds of Vietnamese LOL gamers. Suddenly, if they become serious and hold ‘lesson plans’ while standing for bans and picks, it would feel very unfamiliar. Hopefully, if Teacher Ba and Tu Sena do join OPG, they will somehow help this passionate project of Optimus to succeed beautifully.
