After the official update of patch 10.6, the anticipated changes for patch 10.7 were also updated on the PBE server shortly after, with the most notable adjustments related to ‘The Curator of the Sands’ Nasus. Riot Games’ idea is to highlight the characteristic of this champion as primarily farming Q – Spirit Scepter, which is why they made the two skills W – Wither and R – Fury of the Sands scale in power based on the number of stacks. You can find more details HERE.

The adjustments sound good at first glance, but for players who have played thousands of games with this champion, that update has no real impact on Nasus’ power at all. Recently, a player who specializes in using ‘Susan 0175′ to climb the ranks and reached Grandmaster tier in season 9 posted on Reddit to point out the mistakes in buffing this god-like dog and the correct approach to genuinely increase Nasus’ power.

The buffs for Nasus in patch 10.7 are not at all correct in making him a better champion, Riot please!!!
Hello everyone
As a player who loves Nasus and achieved Grandmaster rank with 500 points in season 9, currently at Diamond 1 – Master in season 10, I hope that Riot staff will read this post, at least to consider it.
Currently, Nasus is stuck in the laning phase (when he is weakest).
His mid-game power only comes when this champion wins his lane (remember that Nasus cannot win lanes from Diamond 2 onwards). Therefore, if Nasus wants to farm, opponents must continuously push minions into the tower so he can safely farm, then he can achieve immense power in the mid-game. And then by the late game, his power drops when he is easily controlled and burst down.

Nasus needs defensive stat buffs so he can trade damage in lane, rather than just hugging the tower and praying that opponents will push minions. If not, then Nasus needs a better mid-game scaling with more health/armor/magic resistance.
You just need to buff him a little bit. Nasus currently has the worst base and scaling stats among all Fighters. This makes him unable to survive in the late game because he is too easily controlled and burst down. With stat buffs, Nasus would have more opportunities in team fights and create a better playstyle for this champion.
If not, then Nasus’ playstyle will be extremely “toxic”, he will only know how to split push and keep split pushing, not team fighting, not communicating with teammates, just going solo.
Buffing the size of his ultimate only makes him easier to hit with crowd control skills. Buffing W then brings back Nasus’ problem; if he gets ahead early, he will destroy. In high ranks, those buffs have no effect on Nasus at all; he needs more team fight durability, not crowd control, damage, or skill range.

In many people’s minds, to play Nasus, you just need to farm a lot, and farming a lot implies that you will be strong at the end of the game. However, that is an extremely wrong thought as Nasus’ champion quality is too “clunky” and easily kiteable, which means all your effort to farm throughout the game is almost wasted because you can’t even touch the enemy.

To remedy this, Nasus needs to win his lane and become strong really early, at a time when opponents do not have enough cooldowns and cannot continuously dash or control him. But just as that Grandmaster said, Nasus has a stat set that couldn’t be worse even as a Fighter role, making it impossible for Nasus to think about trading abilities, let alone winning lanes.
With 561 base health, 90 health per level, 3.5 armor per level, these stats are too low for a Fighter. Nasus cannot compare with Darius, Sett, or Mordekaiser. Not to mention the fact that poking and laning against Nasus is too easy; as long as gamers know how to freeze minions a little, this “Curator of the Sands” can barely breathe.

Perhaps Riot’s idea is very good; however, it creates a very negative mindset for players, focusing solely on farming Q and neglecting everything else. League of Legends is still a team game; no matter how well you split push, victory comes from team fights. Nasus needs more sturdiness to be a reliable shield for teammates in combat, not just a selfish “puppy” focused on playing solo.
