PMPL 2020 is currently in its second week of competition with unpredictable developments as the competition among teams reaches new heights. V Gaming PUBG Mobile is also a strong candidate for the top 3 in this tournament with names like Bensu, NamShinn, and more. Let’s listen to the young player from VGM – VGM NamShinn share his feelings while competing at PMPL 2020!
Hello NamShinn, could you introduce a bit about yourself?

Hello everyone, I am NamShinn from V Gaming PUBG Mobile. My real name is Nguyễn Khương Nam, I was born in 2000. I am currently playing the tanker position for the team, and my specialty is the Groza + AKM combo, my favorite gun is the DP-28, and I achieved Top 7 on the PUBG Mobile leaderboard.
In the biggest tournament in Vietnam PMPL 2020, do you feel pressure? What brought you to PUBG Mobile and V Gaming?
I have participated in PMCO twice last year and once in a tournament in Shanghai, so I don’t feel pressured at all. On the contrary, I bring a certain confidence to PMPL 2020.

I used to love playing games a lot, and since PUBG Mobile was released, I became even more obsessed. My friends and I often invited each other to play and watch local tournaments. When STAR 2018 was streamed live and I saw the PUBG Mobile teams compete, I suddenly wanted to compete like the professionals. From then on, I proactively registered for small tournaments, focused on ranked matches, and eventually got called up by the management of V Gaming PUBG Mobile to compete until now.
After 2 weeks of competition with a pretty good achievement of 6 top 1 finishes, was this a goal your team set before coming to this tournament?

Although we have achieved 6 top 1 finishes, that is still not the team’s overall goal. If we perform better, our ranking could be higher and even reach top 2 on the leaderboard. But the road ahead is still long, and we will strive even harder.
How do you evaluate the performance of teams at PMPL 2020?

I see that PUBG Mobile is developing more and more, so the strength of the teams has improved significantly. However, in my opinion, the factor to claim the top spot is not just skill and strategy, but 30% also depends on whether the ‘circle gods’ are favorable.
While training and competing at Cocobay Da Nang, how do you feel about your current life?
I find it very spacious and comfortable here, like being on a vacation. We just need to compete, and the V Gaming team and the organizers take care of everything else. Perhaps this will be the most memorable experience in my competitive career, both for me and for other players.
Thank you, NamShinn, for your insights. I wish you and V Gaming continued success at PMPL 2020.
