Season 10 can be said to be one of the most dynamic and surprising seasons in League of Legends history, with numerous changes brought to the top lane, jungle, and more. Each new patch in Season 10 has been highly anticipated, hoping to bring fresh winds to the game.

Here are the top 5 most anticipated changes in the upcoming patch 10.7:

1. Wukong’s Power Reduction

Wukong’s rework has only been around for one patch, but it seems to have exceeded Riot’s expectations with a win rate above 55% in ranks from Platinum and above – the highest win rate among all League of Legends champions currently. From the start, his skill set appeared to be too OP with his ability to gain armor and heal from his passive Iron Body, the new clone mechanic from Decoy (W), and his ultimate that can be activated twice in quick succession.

Wukong needs some adjustments in patch 10.7 to bring him back to a more balanced position compared to other champions. For example, changes to the stacking mechanics of his passive or reducing the damage dealt by Decoy clones. Whatever the adjustment may be, Wukong definitely needs to be toned down before he becomes an unstoppable monster in the top lane.

2. Fiddlesticks Rework

Following Wukong, Fiddlesticks is the next champion to receive a rework, set to be released soon. Detailed information about his new skill set has been previously announced by Riot Games, and it’s likely that these adjustments will be retained in the upcoming patch 10.7. As has been customary, the new Fiddlesticks will surely be very strong since Riot tends to overbuff newly released or reworked champions to attract player attention, which will gradually decrease in the following patches. So let’s look forward to the spectacular comeback of this Harbinger of Death!

3. Talon’s Power Reduction

Talon is currently one of the most fearsome Assassins dominating the mid lane. In a meta that favors champions with roaming capabilities, Talon, with his top-notch parkour skills, is always a top choice. Additionally, due to recent buffs to his jungle clearing ability, he can conveniently clear the opposing jungle, ensuring he maintains minion stats while roaming and limiting the income of the enemy jungler.

With a champion easier to play and master than Zed while still providing the same impact, a power reduction for Talon is completely warranted. He should have his damage output reduced to lessen his potential to burst down targets in an instant, giving enemies more chance to survive and retaliate. This won’t render Talon “useless” after one patch; it will simply require players to put in more effort to perform well, rather than the previous “one shot – one kill” ease.

4. Galio’s Power Boost

Since his rework, Galio has quickly become one of the most popular champions in both Ranked and professional play. However, with his high potential to turn the tide in fights, he has continuously faced power reductions, the most severe being the change that removed his ability to combo his Shield of Durand (W) with Flash. As a result, Galio has nearly disappeared from the game, with a current play rate of only 0.79% in both mid and support roles.

To help Galio make a comeback, Riot doesn’t need to do much; simply reverting the W ability to allow him to use the W + Flash combo as before would be enough. However, as part of Riot’s “make Galio great again” plan, the initial change in patch 10.7 will be a slight adjustment to the visual effect of his shield buff for teammates, making it clearer for players.

5. Jungle Experience Changes

The jungle role has faced a series of serious issues since the changes to gold and experience from jungle camps were implemented at the start of Season 10. This has led to the absolute dominance of champions like Elise, Lee Sin, Rek’Sai, and Olaf in the past few patches. Other jungle champions that can stay away from lanes while still progressing, such as Karthus, are still playable, but the aforementioned four champions remain the meta’s rulers.

This is because the experience from jungle camps has prioritized champions who can impact lanes early, preventing them from falling behind by mid-game. Junglers who successfully gank early can even gain a bit of experience from one or two minion waves in lane, allowing them to pull ahead of those who can only farm in the jungle or fail ganks. The experience gap between junglers and laners has made it impossible for level 6-dependent jungle champions to thrive, as early gankers have gained an advantage, and the lanes have largely predetermined the outcomes.

Jungle experience must be addressed sooner or later, and patch 10.7 is the best time for Riot to tackle this issue.
