Most champions and items in League of Legends have certain counters. However, with the ultra-unique playstyles recently discovered in Korean ranks, there is almost no way to counter them. Simply because… they haven’t appeared enough and long enough for the community to figure out solutions.
Here are some extremely effective playstyles in the bot lane of Korean ranks:
Morgana – Support

Since Morgana is a highly potential champion, she can pair well with various types of AD carries, from traditional to unconventional. During the laning phase, Morgana should try to survive this stage as safely as possible, ideally waiting for the jungler to come down for kills. Morgana’s individual power will be revealed when she starts to roam.

When the laning phase is about to end, Morgana can start to roam around the map either alone or with her jungler. At this point, Morgana should have her core item, Hextech Pistol, which can slow enemies by 60-65% for 3-4 seconds. Morgana’s annoyingly strong crowd control combo will be Hextech Pistol + Soul Shackles (R) + Dark Binding (Q), making the enemy experience continuous crowd control from slow to root and stun for about… 10-12 seconds. With that level of crowd control, if paired with a high damage jungler, the target is almost “trapped.”
If she has a lot of kills, Morgana can build full damage, even selling her warding items to become the main source of magic damage. If not, Morgana still maintains strong and effective crowd control for the team.
Especially in a meta where strong crowd control champions like Nautilus, Leona, Thresh,… are currently favored, Morgana’s Black Shield (E) is extremely useful, allowing her team’s carry to roam freely without becoming “unconscious” until they are taken down.
Varus and Karma – AD Carry and Support

First up is Varus, who is not going to be a powerful auto-attacker with items like Guinsoo’s Rageblade or Blade of the Ruined King, but rather a versatile AD carry who pokes and deals damage from afar. Notably, Varus’s Piercing Arrow (Q) will have a higher hit rate when the enemy is slowed by Karma’s Soulfire (RQ). Varus will not build energy items like Manamune or Soul Reaver but will go full lethality to poke. Instead, energy will be sufficiently provided from the rune page. A must-have item is the Death’s Reminder to prevent the enemy’s healing potential.

Next is Karma, who should not build full damage to support Varus’s poking but should go for traditional support items to ensure Varus’s safety when enemies approach. With items like Athene’s Unholy Grail, Ardent Censer, or Locket of the Iron Solari, along with Guardian Angel, Varus will have enough time to deal damage and take down approaching enemies.

Sett – Support

Sett in the support role is not a new sight, but with the Sett Stonebreaker build, it changes the game. Essentially, Sett’s skill set allows him to effectively utilize most of the keystones from Predator, Conqueror, Aftershock, Phase Rush, or Grasp of the Undying.
Notably, with a relatively short cooldown on his skills, Sett can activate new keystones unexpectedly during each skirmish to gain an advantage. Coupled with shields and damage from his skills, Sett can tank like a true solo laner, allowing his AD carry to deal damage comfortably in team fights.
