In the final match of the LCK Spring 2020 group stage, DragonX secured a 2-1 victory over APK Prince. However, this felt more like a defeat as they did not achieve their important goal of winning 2-0 to take the 2nd place on the leaderboard.
Although DragonX was the team that won overall, it is worth noting that APK Prince managed to secure one game, which was just enough to prevent DragonX from climbing to the 2nd position on the leaderboard, where T1 is currently situated.
With the “double elimination” format in the playoffs, maintaining the 2nd position means T1 will only have to compete starting from round 3, and if they win, they will advance directly to the finals to face off against the top-ranked team, Gen.G.

So it goes without saying that the T1 members became “20-year fans of APK Prince” during the recent match. And truly living up to the expectations of these “fans”, APK put on a fantastic performance in the second game, ensuring DragonX could not achieve a perfect 2-0 victory and surpass T1 in terms of win-loss ratio.
With both teams having a record of 14-4, DragonX lost to T1 in both matches, allowing Faker and his teammates to place above them due to better head-to-head results.
Immediately after the match between DRX and APK ended, T1 made a move to honor the members of this team by gifting… 1 box of Lotte ice cream and a discount voucher for… T1 merchandise:

“To the friends who secured a victory today, we gift you a giant box of World Con Faker ice cream (the ice cream brand that Faker endorses). The ice cream has been shipped right now, so make sure to eat it quickly before it melts.”
“By the way, a special gift to superstar HyBriD – who achieved a Pentakill today, you will receive a 50% discount voucher when purchasing T1’s commemorative jerseys. Best regards!”

It is unclear how the APK Prince members will react to this gift with such “spiritual” significance; perhaps they will celebrate by devouring the box of Faker-branded ice cream, while HyBriD might have to “politely decline” the discount voucher gift, as playing for APK and then buying T1 jerseys to wear does not seem reasonable at all.
