After Fiddlesticks was reworked, the next champion that players are eagerly awaiting to “transform” is none other than Volibear. Previously, the designers working directly on this project had revealed some minor details, but essentially we still know very little about the new Volibear except that we can imagine this bear will be more majestic and powerful.

Recently, a player exploring the files of the PBE server discovered the first animation of the new Volibear. He then posted this video on Reddit, and the community reacted with great excitement to this discovery. Many believe that this is just an easter egg hidden in League of Legends, likely to be a teaser from Riot Games coming soon, possibly on the Howling Abyss map to fit the storyline.

It seems like Volibear is about to replace the shopkeeper as an Easter egg.
Wait, it looks quite strange, I mean Volibear has a huge upper body but not that much.
I think that’s due to the horizontal angle and the model will look much better when viewed from above, just like in the game. Moreover, Volibear is definitely standing behind something that hides his legs.
Could it be an Easter egg for the ARAM map?

As Riot’s designers have shared, their goal after reworking Volibear is to improve his appearance, add some effects, and make his skill set smoother and more satisfying for players to use. This is also the biggest issue with Volibear currently, as his skill set is too simple and his appearance is more clunky than the majesty of a Northern Demigod.

Good news for players is that along with Volibear’s launch event, Riot will create another skin for this champion, and players can own it completely free with the simple requirement of having possessed Volibear beforehand. In Riot Games’ history, only Gangplank and Miss Fortune have been favored with new skins during their reworks. Who knows, we might have an amazing event like the previous Fire Tide when Volibear “transforms”.
