If you remember, not long ago, streamer TF Blade faced some controversy on the Korean server leading to his account being banned. The interesting part is that TF Blade did not go to South Korea alone; he was accompanied by another streamer friend, Midbeast. Midbeast’s story is not simply about climbing to the top of Challenger like TF Blade; he is a huge fan of Dopa, and his goal in the Land of the Morning Calm was to face off against his idol.

While TF Blade has a rather toxic personality, Midbeast is more benign and only focuses on “tryharding” to climb the ranks. Yet, despite his goal of encountering Dopa in ranked matches, he had not achieved it even after staying in Korea for 2-3 months. Finally, just yesterday, Midbeast reached his biggest goal when he matched up against Dopa.

In fact, Midbeast studied Dopa so much that he knew exactly what this “rank climbing saint” would do, such as how to use control wards, move to gank, and lane control. Midbeast even mentioned on stream that “it’s kind of embarrassing that I know what he’s going to do because I’ve studied Dopa too carefully.”
Although in this match Dopa played extremely well, continuously dodging dangerous skill shots like Taliyah’s Seismic Shove, Midbeast’s teammates seemed to be superior, especially the Lee Sin jungler. In this meta, having a better jungler usually leads to an easier victory. Midbeast was incredibly excited after defeating Dopa, stating that the match was the most stressful he’s ever experienced.
Midbeast: “Oh my god, we finally beat him! I can finally breathe easy. I defeated Dopa, and this match was the most stressful in my gaming life. It was truly an amazing match, and I’m really excited!”
Perhaps in a gamer’s life, there is no sweeter feeling than defeating your idol in a specific match. Midbeast was incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Dopa and even win.
