Xuân Thứ – The result of the “martial arts teaching” process by VaneLove
As we know, VaneLove is one of the most charismatic AoE players in the Vietnamese AoE community. Not only known for his straightforward remarks, but the captain from Hanoi is also an expert in training and developing young gamers. This has been proven over the years with many names growing from intense matches alongside VaneLove.
Speaking about his “disciples”, Đỗ Minh Hải (VaneLove’s real name) further stated: “Actually, I don’t dare to claim to be a master of these kids. They just play with me a lot, face many defeats, and become resilient. The more you play AoE, especially high-stakes matches, the better your mindset and skill will become. Previously, there was Tiểu Màn Thầu, and now particularly Xuân Thứ is a player I feel has matured quickly and is quite outstanding at this time.”
When asked about his assessment of player Xuân Thứ, the AoE captain from Hanoi added: “Xuân Thứ is a diligent player, with a good foundation in AoE skills. He manages his economy, develops, and implements strategies very well. Initially, Xuân Thứ was a good solo player, but now he is even better, while his weakness in team play has also improved significantly over the past two years.”
On par with U98, VaneLove affirmed that Xuân Thứ is the most exciting player of the current young generation.
In response to the question about the most improved player in the past two years, VaneLove candidly shared: “I would choose U98 and Xuân Thứ. U98’s luck is that he gets to partner with Chim Sẻ Đi Nắng often, which is why his tactical thinking, skill level, and especially his competitive mindset have been honed through many matches and major tournaments. U98 is a well-rounded archer and infantry player in the Vietnamese AoE scene. U98 himself also works hard to train and improve. The second player is Xuân Thứ, in fact, like U98, my younger brother has also faced off evenly against other top players like Cam Quýt, HeHe, and Chipboy. In their recent direct encounters, both U98 and Xuân Thứ have shown to be quite balanced and relatively equal in skill. In fact, Xuân Thứ has been winning more against U98 in solo matches than losing. Objectively speaking, I think Xuân Thứ, like U98, can compete evenly with any top 1 AoE player except for Chim Sẻ Đi Nắng.”
Through our conversation, the player from Tây Tựu also shared his thoughts on these two players: “I think both Xuân Thứ and U98 are top-tier players in AoE Vietnam, the only thing missing for both of them, especially Xuân Thứ, is experience in large tournaments. This will come with time as they mature. I often joke with Xuân Thứ that who knows, three years from now, the confrontation between Xuân Thứ and U98 will be as exciting and worth waiting for as the battle between Chim Sẻ and BiBi (laughs). That remains to be seen, but I affirm that Xuân Thứ and U98 are two young players who have made the most progress in the past two years.”
