A day when Clid completely shut down against Cuzz
In Gen.G’s success at the LCK Spring 2020, the role and contribution of Clid are undeniable. In most previous matches, Clid had performed excellently in his jungle role, both in terms of objective control and creating advantages for lanes through crucial ganks.

However, Gen.G completely lost control of the game against T1 when Clid appeared to be outclassed and played passively against Cuzz, T1’s new jungler this season. Throughout the 3 matches, Clid vanished from the Summoner’s Rift and left no impression on the viewers. Thus, the advantage that the so-called top jungler brought to Gen.G before this final was a big fat zero.

While blaming Clid, we must also praise Cuzz, as this player had an outstanding game. He controlled objectives well, moved to support lanes appropriately, and seemed to predict Clid’s jungle path, thereby neutralizing Gen.G’s critical explosive potential, allowing T1 to execute their strategy.
A day when T1’s “fatal weakness” in the top lane shined brightly
As we know, T1’s third-place finish in the group stage stemmed from some missteps against opponents with strong top lanes. DWG is a prime example, as they annihilated T1 2-0 in the second round with Nuguri’s stellar performance.

However, in the final that just concluded a few hours ago, Rascal, Gen.G’s top laner, was unable to do anything against a Canna who was performing exceptionally well. Not only did he fail to create advantages for his team despite Clid’s support, but Rascal was also dominated by T1’s top laner in the third game when he was repeatedly solo-killed by Canna. The top lane, seen as T1’s weakest position, could not be overcome by Gen.G, making their 3-0 loss to T1 completely understandable.
BDD and Ruler could not match Faker and Teddy in terms of “carrying the team”.
This is something we can assert after the conclusion of the LCK Spring Final 2020. Before the final, many Gen.G fans believed that BDD and Ruler outshone Faker and Teddy in terms of “carrying the team”. Throughout all 3 games, not only did they underperform in their lanes, but even when the match went late game, BDD and Ruler completely shut down against T1’s core duo.

Teddy excelled with 2 early games on Varus focusing on poke damage and shone in the final game while playing Aphelios. Meanwhile, “Chairman” Faker, the demon king of the League of Legends world, remains a significant figure in major matches. With 2 perfect games on Corki and a solid performance in the final with his signature champion Azir, the captain and spiritual leader of T1, along with his teammates, secured a flawless and convincing victory against Gen.G.

Here are 3 reasons leading to Gen.G’s devastating defeat against T1, despite being highly rated before entering the final match. What do you think about the recently concluded LCK Spring Final 2020? Please share your thoughts by commenting below the article.
