Achieving a feat that even Faker hasn’t accomplished, T1’s Canna broke down in tears thanking his seniors on the championship podium

Last year, Faker cried for his former teammates; this year it's Canna's turn. T1 should more appropriately be nicknamed "the champions with quick tears."

In the LCK Spring 2020 finals that just took place, Canna was one of the standout performers on T1, especially in Game 3, where he completely countered his opponent Rascal from the opposing team, helping T1 secure an easy victory with a final score of 3-0 and crowned champions.

Under the guidance of Coach Kim, who is famous for discovering top-tier top-lane superstars, Canna was entrusted with full confidence and became the main player for T1. He delivered an extremely impressive performance throughout the past season.

Moreover, with his first championship in his career, the 2000-born player also made it onto the list of stars who have the honor of becoming champions in their debut professional season.

Speaking on the podium, T1’s “younger brother” couldn’t hide his emotions and burst into tears. He also expressed his gratitude to his family and teammates for helping him achieve this title:

“My family messages me before every match. I am very grateful for their support. And I also want to thank my teammates; if it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be standing here today.”

In T1’s current lineup, Cuzz and Canna are the two players who hold the record for “winning the championship in their debut professional season”. For Cuzz, this was when he became the LCK champion with LongZhu Gaming after defeating… SKT (T1) in the summer of 2017.

Faker holds many records, but there is one achievement he missed: becoming one of the players to win a championship in their debut professional season.

Although he became famous from his very first professional match in LCK Spring 2013 (then known as OLYMPUS League Of Legends Spring 2013) with a solo kill on Ambition, that season, SKT T1 K, with Faker, could only finish in 3rd place.

It wasn’t until the Summer tournament that Faker officially became the Korean champion after defeating KT Rolster Bullets 3-2 in the final match, marking the beginning of a glorious chapter in SKT’s history.

Of course, compared to Cuzz and Canna, Faker’s starting point was not as favorable. Cuzz and Canna both won championships with a roster full of superstars, while SKT T1 K was merely a rookie team at that time. Nevertheless, that doesn’t matter much, as in the eyes of T1 fans, these interesting records are just embellishments that add to Faker’s greatness.
