GAM Player Points Out “Critical” Mistake After Devastating Loss at LCP 2025
Recently, GAM Esports – the number one seed from VCS at LCP 2025 – suffered their second consecutive defeat in the APAC regional tournament. This result was truly surprising as many VCS fans were confident that GAM would easily secure the championship title of LCP 2025 before the tournament began. This belief was further solidified by the fact that their long-time rivals in APAC had weakened, notably TALON.

However, the reality is completely different. Recently, after a swift defeat to CBTC Flying Oyster, GAM’s superstar Aress admitted that the team made a critical mistake in the deciding game.
Specifically, Aress acknowledged: “In game 3, GAM actually had some predetermined bans and picks, especially when CFO had the first pick on Miss Fortune. Specifically, the Rakan – Wukong combo. But after discussion, we only picked Xayah – Rakan and allowed Wukong to go to the enemy team.”

VCS Community Also Comments “Bitterly” on GAM
In fact, it doesn’t take a professional player to clearly see that GAM’s ban-picks in the deciding game were completely outplayed by CFO. Moreover, having Aress and Kiaya use bruiser champions also caused GAM to lose 2 reliable damage sources.
Granted, Levi had a marksman champion in Kindred and there was also Artemis, but when Levi’s Kindred failed to make an impact, GAM became stuck. Kiaya’s Udyr is not a damage-dealing champion, and Galio was even taken down faster each time he engaged in team fights.

Regardless, GAM has completed the first phase of LCP 2025. They will have plenty of time to rest during the Lunar New Year holiday and prepare for the remaining matches with a performance that must truly improve and brighter displays if they want to continue their journey in this first international tournament of the season.
