What is the Candyland composition?
Candyland (literally translated as giant candy) is the name of the Vanguard – Sorcerer composition, named so because the core of the team is Poppy along with her oversized hammer, which makes it look like she’s wielding a giant candy to attack opponents. The Candyland composition is a product of the Teamfight Tactics meta 10.9, where 1-cost champions appear more frequently and have a higher rate of reaching level 3.

The strength of this composition comes from two points: the exceptional durability from the early Vanguard duo of Leona and Poppy, and the decent damage output from the two low-cost Sorcerers, Twisted Fate and Zoe. Essentially, this is a type of hyper-roll composition; however, the champions that need to reach 3 stars here are not the Guardians but the Vanguards and Sorcerers.
How to build the composition?
As mentioned above, this composition primarily needs the 1-cost champions to reach 3 stars, so it’s best not to level up too early. Allow your experience to build naturally to collect as many necessary 1-cost champions as possible. If you land in celestial stages like the Exchange Station or the Starry Sky, the speed at which you can acquire 3-star units and snowball the early game becomes even faster.

Once you have upgraded your 1-cost champions to 3 stars (at least 2 core champions Poppy and Twisted Fate), it’s time to level up to access necessary combos like 4 Vanguards (with Jayce and Wukong) or 3 Celestial Guardians (adding Soraka). With superior defensive capabilities from the shields of Vanguards and 3-star champions, you become very difficult to defeat in the mid-game.

By the late game, this is the weakest point of the composition as damage starts to be countered, falling behind against expensive core champions or compositions with strong combos. However, you can rest assured that you can easily place in the top 4 or even higher if you add defensive capabilities from the Mystic trait or additional damage from strong late-game champions like Miss Fortune and Kayle.

Conclusion
Essentially, the Candyland composition is quite easy to play and is friendly for newcomers, as the feeling of using many 3-star units is extremely satisfying. This composition is very strong early and mid-game but gradually loses strength in the late game, so if you are looking for a fast-paced winning strategy, this is the perfect choice.
