Willy Wonka is the name of a fictional character in the novel “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”; it is also the name of the largest candy manufacturing factory in the story that operates continuously and without rest. The concept of an endlessly operating factory inspired the name of the new composition in Teamfight Tactics – Willy Wonka, with Sona at the center, providing continuous healing (from her ability) and energy (from the Chalice of Favor).

The reason for the emergence of this composition lies in the fact that in patch 10.8B, Syndra was heavily nerfed in terms of energy, and the Celestial Guardian was also nerfed. However, the nature of the magic damage composition remains incredibly strong, so players have discovered a new “energy pump” and Sona is the most suitable name to utilize the Chalice of Favor, given her very low base energy stats. Therefore, if you don’t have many Tear of the Goddess, it’s quite difficult to play this composition.
Building the Composition
The strongest Sorceror champion at the start of the game is currently Twisted Fate; he has decent stats and was buffed in patch 10.9, making him a great combination with Time Warp units to increase attack speed. Thus, an optimal choice at the beginning of the game will be to secure a 2-star Card Master early on. If you don’t have Sona early, that’s okay; you can pivot to various compositions as long as you lose minimal health in the early game.

Moving into the mid-game, you should aim to acquire a Sona unit at level 5, when the appearance rate of 2-cost champions is at its peak. You can then roll a bit to stock up on important units like Poppy and Twisted Fate to reach 3-star, and upon reaching level 6, ideally, you would get Soraka to gain both the Celestial Guardian buff and Mystical buff. If not, adding Ahri is also a good option.

Towards the late game, once you have at least a 3-star Twisted Fate, you should focus on leveling up to 8 to add important combos like 2 Vanguard (the best unit is Wukong) to ensure Poppy doesn’t die too early or 4 Sorcerors to increase damage. If the conditions allow, gradually stock up on Sona units to reach 3-star, which is also a good strategy to close out the match.

Necessary Items
As mentioned above, Sona is the center of this playstyle, so you must have sufficient items for Sona if you want the composition to work well. The ideal setup would be 2 Chalices of Favor and 1 Staff of Flowing Water, with Sona having only 40 energy, each time she casts a spell her energy will be fully restored immediately with the aforementioned items, allowing for continuous health buffs while the energy share from the Chalice of Favor is also consistently “pumped”.

Twisted Fate is also a strong unit, and items like the Sorceror’s Hat and Morellonomicon are ideal for him. In the front line, prioritize tanky items, whatever they may be; you can also look to increase damage for the backline with the Lightning Bow, as it provides extra magic penetration, which is extremely beneficial to help your carry take down the enemy’s tank line.
