One of the simplest ways to reach the top 4 is to play a composition that no one else is using in the match. While these less popular compositions can be quite weak, with a little creativity, even the weak can become strong. To escape from the low ranks – where the hottest team compositions are fiercely contested, you can refer to the following unique compositions:
Aurelion Sol Celestial Protector Composition
It might seem strange to play Aurelion Sol without any Rebel champions, however, this playstyle will easily help you escape from low ranks.
The strength of this composition lies in the fact that, although there are no Rebels, every activation serves the purpose of empowering Aurelion Sol. Notably, the incredible lifesteal from 6 Celestial champions and the Hextech Gunblade (85% lifesteal) means that even when affected by Grievous Wounds from Red Buff or Morello’s Evil Tome, taking down this champion will still take a lot of time. Additionally, Aurelion Sol has the Starship activation, which cannot be hindered by hard crowd control effects like stuns, snares, hex,… Therefore, Aurelion Sol will continuously fly around the map to spam skills that create shields from the Protector and absorb health constantly.
For other champions, to reduce the enemy team’s numbers, we can use leftover items for Xin Zhao, Rakan, or Kassadin to take down 1-2 enemies. Lulu should have a Spear of Shojin to buy more time for Aurelion Sol to eliminate important targets first.
Kha’Zix Laser Composition
This composition is not much different from the Void Brawler composition; however, the main carry prioritized in this build is Kha’Zix.
In this composition, Kha’Zix will be the key factor that carries the team very strongly in the early game. Since now 2 Assassins can refresh the attack speed when taking down an enemy, Kha’Zix becomes very powerful when combined with any early Assassin. With such a fast attack speed, Kha’Zix has a 65% critical strike chance and 350% critical damage, enough to take down weak targets from the early to mid-game (if you want to play it safe, you can replace one Infinity Edge with a Guardian Angel). Additionally, with Fizz on the team, Kha’Zix’s power will further increase as Fizz helps push enemy champions apart, isolating them for Kha’Zix to deal bonus damage from skills.
Finally, when activating Void as well, Kha’Zix will convert all sources of damage into true damage, maximizing his power. Furthermore, Vel’Koz can also share the carry burden with Kha’Zix when equipped with essential items. The Brawler front line will hold long enough for the Void carries to finish off the enemy team.
Spell Thief Composition
This is one of the least used compositions currently, however, in terms of power, it is not inferior to any top meta compositions. It is mixed with many different traits, activating multiple passives for the main carries to unleash damage.
In this composition, Gangplank will be the main factor with his ability to one-shot and stun the entire enemy team with his skill. Items for Gangplank can be temporarily given to Darius until you roll into Gangplank. On the other side, a slew of champions with hard crowd control like Rumble, Wukong, Ashe, or Kassadin (disarm) can buy a lot of time for Gangplank and Jhin to deal damage. Additionally, the strength of this composition also lies in the backup champions you have on the bench, who will be pulled in by Thresh to provide timely support.
If you feel your team is too strong, you can swap out some champions, upgrade to 9, and bring in Graves + Darius to activate 4 Pirates, collecting items each time Gangplank one-shots the enemy team.
