Blue Bow
The strongest hyper-roll composition right now is Candyland, based on the dominance of Poppy, who boasts a substantial shield from her skill and impressive tankiness with the Vanguard trait. To counter this, the essential item is the Blue Bow, as it provides the ability to reduce 90% of the target’s armor on a critical hit. Remember that aside from her high health and armor, Poppy does not deal much damage; if you can eliminate her tankiness, taking her down is not too difficult.

The best champions to utilize the Blue Bow are those with natural critical hit capabilities, such as Jhin, Shaco, or units like Xayah and Jinx that have high attack speed. They can maintain a safe distance and easily negate Poppy’s armor; for even more assurance, a combination of Infinity Edge with the Blue Bow is the perfect setup.

Red Buff
This item is very selective in its users, but once equipped, it can make the front-line champions of your opponents disappear incredibly quickly. The reason lies in the fact that this item not only reduces healing but also deals percentage damage over time, making it easier than ever to take down the opponent’s tank line.

The best candidates for the Red Buff are the Cannoneers, who can hit multiple targets, and it also deals damage to backline units instead of just targeting tanks. Our advice is that when you play Cannoneers, the more Red Buffs you have, the higher your win rate. However, the downside of this item is that it only synergizes well with Cannoneers and is not as effective when used in other compositions.

Giant Slayer
Unlike the Red Buff, which only synergizes with Cannoneers, the Giant Slayer can be effectively used in any physical damage dealing composition, by any champion from melee to ranged; even if you are playing Sorcerers and get several Wooden Bows and B.F. Swords, it can still be utilized. With its effect dealing additional damage based on the target’s maximum health, 3-cost champions can be eliminated very quickly.

The limitation of this item is that it deals physical damage, which means it is still reduced by armor, so you need the Blue Bow to maximize the damage output. If you are playing a composition with more than one carry (like Cannoneers, for instance), you can have one unit hold pure damage items and another unit hold items with effects to eliminate the opponent’s tank as quickly as possible without wasting items.
Morello’s Evil Tome
If the items above are suitable for physical damage compositions, then Morello’s Evil Tome is almost the only item that counters 3-star compositions of magic damage dealers. Many may only remember the healing reduction effect and forget that Morello’s Evil Tome also helps the skills of the champion holding it deal additional percentage damage based on the target’s health. This item is essential for taking down the current meta’s “gold-plated” monsters.

Besides Morello’s Evil Tome, you also need to consider how to build your composition to somewhat counter hyper-roll teams. The choice of top players during this phase is to use a Brawler – Void composition with significant percentage damage from Vel’Koz or Cho’Gath to counter them. In summary, Sorcerers are at a disadvantage in terms of the number of items but can build a more flexible composition than physical damage teams.
