Faker mentions Gumayusi for the first time amidst ongoing drama
In the context of the ongoing discussions about Gumayusi on various League of Legends community forums, statements from the team’s internal members are always highly anticipated by fans. Recently, the name that T1 fans and Gumayusi supporters have been eagerly waiting for has finally spoken up – Faker, the captain and “soul” of T1.

According to Faker’s comments after their victory against Gen.G: “T1 will soon have the Play-In stage and then the Playoffs. We will prepare well to achieve our set goals. As for Min-hyeong (Gumayusi), he hasn’t played many matches. But I believe both he and T1 will return stronger than ever. I hope that fans will continue to support and cheer for Min-hyeong.” This is also the first time Faker has mentioned Gumayusi since the drama erupted.

Faker’s comments inadvertently increase fans’ frustration with T1
In just over a month since winning the World Championship, T1 has been embroiled in two major dramas involving its players. While Zeus has received support from fans, the dissatisfaction aimed at T1 regarding the Gumayusi incident is quite evident. Notably, in both cases, the one who has actually made efforts to connect with the fans has been Faker.
Meanwhile, T1 has either remained silent or released information that has only intensified the situation. “Such supportive words should have come from T1’s coaching staff, not Faker. Zeus left the team without comment, but Gumayusi is still a member of T1, right?” one fan expressed frustration.

It wasn’t until the match against Gen.G that coach KkOma finally made specific comments about player substitutions. T1 fans are not angry about the team making substitutions to diversify strategies. What frustrates them is the lack of clarity from T1’s management.
As of now, the team has not made any positive statements regarding Gumayusi, with Faker being the one to step up. Moreover, this situation is unlikely to resolve until at least Gumayusi returns to the main T1 lineup.
