Marin
The former top laner of T1 maintained peak performance for only one season in 2015, but his gameplay has become a benchmark for many other players to learn from.
Marin is a model solo laner, incredibly well-rounded, with a wide champion pool, excellent skill execution, and particularly an exceptional use of the Teleport summoner spell. As a result, he is also a role model for many other top laners.

One of Marin’s “hardcore fans” is Khan – his junior at T1. During his time with the reigning Korean champions, Khan admitted that Marin was the one who inspired him to adopt an aggressive playstyle in lane, although he also asserted that he would never reach the level of his senior.
Alongside Khan, Marin has also become an ideal model for many other top laners. However, he has somewhat lost the goodwill of T1 fans after the scandal involving his harsh comments towards Blossom on stream.
SofM
As mentioned in several previous articles, SofM is currently a hot name on Chinese social media after a series of articles on QQ discussing his influence on the jungle position in the LPL region. In fact, it is no coincidence that Chinese media holds him in such high regard.
A prime example of SofM’s influence is that he is consistently regarded as one of the ideal role models for young junglers in the Chinese League of Legends tournament.

Two of the most famous “fans” of SofM in this tournament are Leyan – the jungler for IG, who has admitted to learning a lot from his playstyle, and Tian – the reigning world champion in the FPX jersey.
Even the two best junglers of the LPL in Spring 2020 – Kanavi and Karsa, one shared that he learned a lot from SofM, while the other streamed and proclaimed SofM as having the “greatest influence in LPL history” alongside Mlxg. That speaks volumes.
Faker
Perhaps we don’t need to discuss why Faker is on this list. Talented, kind, loyal, and always maintaining a fiery passion for professional League of Legends, T1’s captain is the number one role model that any player dreams of and aspires to be.
Just by glancing at the name Faker, we can point out a few of his super “huge” fans, including Rookie, Doinb, Jankos, Caps, Perkz, and… Ambition.

It can be seen that the aforementioned five or six names are among the most outstanding mid laners in history (even though Perkz has moved to ADC and Ambition has transitioned to jungle), but seemingly their competition for status in the professional arena does not affect the “endless passion” these stars have for another star, namely “Chairman” Lee.
Even Ambition and Rookie – contemporaries of Faker who have been somewhat overshadowed by him – have never hesitated to express their admiration and affection for Faker. When even your seemingly “eternal rivals” in the professional arena hold you in such regard, we can only imagine how great Faker truly is.
