Born with the purpose of providing gamers a fun gameplay mode, URF has received a lot of enthusiasm since its official return at the recent Ultimate Weapon event. However, everything has its downsides, and many gamers exploit the advantages of this mode to create “cancer” strategies like Yuumi – Jhin, Aatrox full crit… This has led URF to gradually lose its fun vibe.

To maintain the fun essence of this mode, one gamer has compiled 14 crucial tips for playing URF. These will help you enjoy URF to the fullest while reducing “anti-fun” playstyles.

1. Always bring Legend: Tenacity and buy Mercury’s Treads. With 63% reduced crowd control effects, no one can stun you.
2. Build healing reduction items if the enemy team has any healing signs. Just like normal matches, waiting until Sylas is 24/0 to buy a Butcher’s Sword won’t be effective anymore.
3. You should ban champions that you cannot attack. If you think there is a champion that is extremely OP, they are not as annoying as champions you cannot target, especially Yuumi, I always ban her.

4. Take advantage of your tower-breaking potential; many people forget that mages can destroy towers quite quickly with enough AP.
5. Always buy Nashor’s Tooth if you are playing a Mage, regardless of the champion. In URF, attack speed is doubled if ranged, and 1.5 times if melee. Its effect helps to destroy towers faster.
6. With 4 Infinity Edges, your damage will be significantly higher compared to full lethality builds, even for assassins and fighters that don’t build attack speed.

7. Rod of Ages will stack up, even though the timers are different.
8. You can use Blade of the Ruined King instead of Death’s Dance.
9. Don’t gamble that the opponent will jungle, just duo lane top.
10. Never pick Kayle; you won’t always reach level 16, so before hitting that mark, you’re basically a support.

11. Don’t play Singed. Running around spreading Q sounds nice but in URF, everyone clears waves faster than you.
12. Nunu’s E ability will not function accurately in URF. Instead of throwing 3 snowballs, you will throw them continuously and faster but within the normal time to throw 3 snowballs. This also applies to Evelynn’s Q.
13. Aurelion Sol will add 2 stars to its orbit, and once again, whether to choose or level up is up to you.
14. Many champions are heavily buffed/nerfed when brought into URF, so always check this at the beginning of the match.

Perhaps in URF, nothing is more annoying than having a lot of damage but not being able to attack the opponent. Champions with invisibility, stealth, or those that cannot be targeted like Yuumi should always be banned in every match. Hopefully, with the experiences gathered from many “painful” defeats of the author, we will have the most enjoyable URF matches.
